Itinerary

Day 1, Thursday: Depart for our overnight flight to Riga.

Day 2, Friday: Arrive in Riga and transfer from airport to our hotel. Enjoy a panoramic tour of the city, including the Art Nouveau Sites of Riga and a visit to the Old Synagogue ruins. Shabbat dinner and overnight in Riga.

Day 3, Saturday: Shabbat at leisure. Overnight in Riga.

Day 4 Sunday: Full day excursion to Rundale Palace. Overnight in Riga.

Day 5, Monday: Full day Riga city tour, including walking tour of the Old Town with Riga Castle, Dome Cathedral, Great & Small Freedom Monument, House of Blackheads, St. Peter's Church & Riga Synagogue. Visit to Jewish Community museum "Jews in Latvia," Jewish Cemetery, Jewish Memorial in Rumbula & Bikernieki. Dinner and overnight in Riga.

Day 6 Tuesday: Transfer to Kaunas (Kovno). Check-in to hotel. Dinner and overnight in Kaunas.

Day 7, Wednesday: This morning we tour the Jewish sites in Kaunas including Zamenhoff Street, Mapu Street, Ohel Yakov Synagogue, Aleksotas Jewish Cemetery & Kaunas Jewish Community Center. We also see the 9th Fort Museum and Memorial, Slobodka Ghetto area, former Japanese consulate, Green Hill Jewish Cemetery. Jewish Ghettos. Visit to the Holocaust Museum in Fanenai Forest. In the afternoon, we tour the Kaunas Cathedral, Old Town Hall and Square. Overnight in Kaunas (Kovno).

Day 8, Thursday: Transfer to Vilna. Jewish Heritage Tour, including the Old Synagogue, Jewish Cemetery with the grave of Vilna Gaon, H.K.P. Labor Camp Memorial. Overnight in Vilnius (Vilna).

Day 9, Friday: Vilnius City tour, including visit to the Old Town with Vilnius Cathedral Lower & Upper Castle with Gediminas Tower, Peter & Paul Cathedral, St. Anna's Church, Old University & the Chapel of Dawn with the Madonna of Vilnius. Shabbat dinner and overnight in Vilnius.

Day 10, Saturday: Optional Shabbat services at local synagogue. Day at leisure. Overnight Vilnius.

Day 11, Sunday: This morning we depart to Tykocin to see the Baroque Synagogue (built in 1642). We continue to Bialystok where we see Town Hall and Cathedral Complex, Branicki Palace, Surazska Street, Melmeda St. Memorial, Old Jewish Ghetto area and cemetery. Dinner and overnight in Bialystok.

Day 12, Monday: We depart for Warsaw stopping at the Treblinka Concentration camp. Overnight in Warsaw.

Day 13, Tuesday: Full-day tour of Warsaw including Mila 18, Ghetto Wall, Nozyk Synagogue, Umschlag Platz and the Jewish Cemetery, Old Town Square, Lazienki Park and Chopin Monument. Warsaw farewell dinner and special cultural event. Overnight in Warsaw.

Day 14, Wednesday: Transfer to the airport for our flight back home.
