Jesus Reigns 10-Day Tour

September 14 - 23, 2014

Day 1, Sunday, September 14, 2014: DEPARTURE FOR THE HOLY LAND
We depart from the United States on our overnight flight to Israel

Day 2, Monday, September 15, 2014: WELCOME TO ISRAEL
Upon arrival, we are met by our Ayelet Tours representative and assisted through customs. We meet our guide and begin our journey. After checking in and time to refresh, we gather for a special ceremony making our arrival to the Holy City from atop the Mount of Olives. Dinner & Overnight Jerusalem.

Day 3, Tuesday, September 16, 2014: JERUSALEM IN DEPTH
Breakfast. We begin our explorations of Jerusalem with a drive to the beautiful Mt. of Olives to behold a breath-taking panorama of the Holy City. We then descend to Gethsemane with its ancient olive groves, stopping at the Church of the Ascension before we visit the Church of All Nations. We enter the Old City of Jerusalem through the Dung Gate, and walk to the holiest site in the Jewish world, the Western (Wailing) Wall of Herod's Temple. From the temple area, we make our way to St. Stephen's gate, St. Anne's Crusader Church, the Pools of Bethesda (John 5), and the Sisters of Zion to observe the lithostrotos pavement (John 19:13) where Jesus stood as He was being tried by Pontius Pilate in the Antonio Fortress. We then follow the Via Dolorosa (Stations of the Cross) to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We walk along the ancient Cardo and also take in the breathtaking views from the top of the Lutheran Church. We then stop by the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) to see the bronze menorah filled with symbolism. Dinner & Overnight Jerusalem.

Day 4, Wednesday, September 17, 2014: BETHLEHEM/PROMISE KEEPERS EVENT
Breakfast. Morning drive through the Shepherds fields on our way to visit to Bethlehem, (security pending), where we view the Church of the Nativity (Luke 2:7). Enjoy free time to relax in the afternoon before our major event this evening. We eat an early dinner at our hotel before we gather together with thousands of believers for an unforgettable Promise Keepers event in the heart of Jerusalem. The event will be simulcast to millions of viewers in the U.S. and worldwide via partner churches and the internet, so we may all stand together with our Jewish brothers and sisters and pray in one voice from the eternal city. Overnight Jerusalem.

Day 5, Thursday, September 18, 2014: DEAD SEA OR PROJECT LEKET
Breakfast.

OPTION ONE - THE DEAD SEA BASIN: Departure for the Dead Sea area, passing the Qumran Caves, site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Visit the springs of Ein Gedi, where King David hid from Saul (1 Samuel). We visit Masada, Herod's palace retreat. We hear the story of the Jewish zealots last stand against a massive Roman seige. Float in the healing waters of the Dead Sea.

OPTION TWO - REACHING OUT: We head outside Jerusalem to join up with Project Leket, an organization dedicated to feeding the poor. We pick fruits or vegetables to be used in helping to feed the needy, a charitable act done on behalf of the people of Israel. Continue to a nearby Jewish National Fund (JNF) planting site, where we have the opportunity to plant a tree, connecting us physically to the land of Israel (Tree cost paid on-site). Because of the JNF and partners like us, Israel is the only country in the world with more trees now than 100 years ago! Return to Jerusalem, where we have time at the hotel to refresh.

EVENING OF LEARNING: This evening we'll have the unique opportunity to attend one of a number of workshops about Israel with experts from the region. Dinner & Overnight Jerusalem

Day 6, Friday, September 19, 2014: THE NEW CITY
Breakfast. Today we visit Yad Vashem, Israel's memorial to the Holocaust, where we view the many moving exhibitions including the Hall of Names and the Avenue of the Righteous Among the Nations. We drive to Mt. Zion, right outside the Old City walls of Jerusalem. Here we recount the Upper Room (Mark 14:12-21) experience shared by Christ and His disciples. We proceed to the Old Testament site of the City of David to view the excavations. Enjoy an adventurous walk through the Hezekiah Water Tunnels (wear water-friendly shoes!). Our last stop takes us to the Garden Tomb of Christ (John 19:38; 41) for an unforgettable Communion Worship Service. Dinner & Overnight Jerusalem.

Day 7, Saturday, September 20, 2014: BAPTISM AND THE BEAUTY OF THE HOLYLAND
Breakfast. Today we depart Jerusalem and head north through the Jordan Valley rift up to the Galilee, where Jesus had his ministry. Along the way, we see Old Testament Jericho (Joshua 2-6) Beth Shean (I Samuel 31:10), Ein Harod (Judges 7:1). Visit the Jordan River for a Baptism in its holy waters. Transfer to Tiberias (John 6:23), along the Sea of Galilee - seat of the ministry of Jesus Christ. Join an unforgettable Promise Keepers event this evening along the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Dinner & Overnight in the Galilee.

Day 8, Sunday, September 21, 2014: EXPLORING THE MINISTRY OF JESUS
Breakfast. Today we retrace the ministry of Christ that will include many biblical sites along the Galilee's shores and into the Upper Jordan Valley: Capernaum (Matt 4:13), Mount of Beatitudes (Matt 5-7), Tabgha (Feeding of the 5,000, Mark 6), and Magdala (Matt 15:39). An unforgettable worship time will take place on the peaceful waters of the Sea of Galilee near a replica of a first century fishing boat. We then travel north past Hazor (Josh 11:10, I Kings 9:15), to Caesarea Philippi (Paneas Mark 8:27), and the eastern Golan Heights. This afternoon, we enjoy a peaceful cruise on the Sea of Galilee. Dinner & Overnight in the Galilee.

Day 9, Monday, September 22, 2014: A LAND OF MIRACLES
Breakfast and check out. We begin the day by passing Cana (John 2) on our way to Nazareth (Luke 1 & 2). Next we visit Megiddo (I Kings 9:15), site of biblical Armageddon (Rev. 16:16). We continue to Mt. Carmel (I Kings 18), before we drive down the coast along the Mediterranean Sea and visit Caesarea (Acts 9 & 25), where we view the Roman ruins including the Roman Theater and aqueduct.
