Day 2, Monday: After breakfast on the plane, we arrive in Rome and transfer to our hotel. We enjoy an orientation lecture and welcome dinner together this evening at the hotel. Overnight in Rome.

Day 3, Tuesday: Breakfast at the hotel. Our guided tour this morning begins with the Great Synagogue and the Jewish Museum. Following this we proceed to the Jewish Ghetto in the Trastevere section on the banks of the Tiber River. We have time to meet with members of the Jewish Community and hear about Judaism as it is practiced in Rome today. Overnight in Rome.

Day 4, Wednesday: Breakfast at the hotel. Today we enjoy a full day tour of Rome including a visit to the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel, followed by a visit to the Cathedral of St. Peter. Next we proceed to San Pietro in Vincolo to see the Michelangelo statue of Moses. This afternoon our sightseeing continues to the world famous Coliseum and Roman Forum. Overnight in Rome.

Day 5, Thursday: Breakfast at the hotel. This morning we have an early departure from Rome, the Eternal City, and drive to Pitigliano. Upon arrival we enjoy a guided tour of the "Forno dell Asime," the Jewish Bakery, the Jewish Ghetto and the synagogue. After lunch we visit one of the famous wineries where kosher wine is still produced today. We continue to Florence and check into our hotel. Overnight in Florence.

Day 6, Friday: Breakfast at the hotel. We begin our touring by meeting with a representative of the Florence Jewish community, who will address our group and give us a personally guided tour of the synagogue and Jewish Museum. After lunch we visit Pitti Place and the Medici Chapels to see the statue of David and other great works by Michelangelo. This evening we enjoy Shabbat services in the Synagogue of Florence followed by Shabbat dinner at our hotel. Overnight in Florence.

Day 7, Saturday: Breakfast at the hotel. Optional Shabbat services or day at leisure to enjoy Florence. Overnight in Florence.

Day 8, Sunday: Breakfast at the hotel. Today we have a full day tour of San Gimignano and Siena. After a short morning orientation, we visit San Gimignano and wander through the ancient streets and passages. We then drive to Siena where we will have lunch on our own before visiting the synagogue, the State Archives and Palazzo Piccolomin. We return to Florence and enjoy dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Florence.

Day 9, Monday: Breakfast at the hotel. This morning we depart Florence and take the road north to Ferrara where we will visit the Norsa Synagogue and the Baldini Museum. We continue to Verona where we have an orientation tour, and see the famous balcony of Romeo and Juliet as well as the Roman Arena. We enjoy dinner together tonight in a local restaurant. Overnight in Verona.

Day 10, Tuesday: Breakfast at the hotel. This morning we drive to Venice. We arrive at Piazzale Roma where our luggage will be transferred by barge to the hotel. We walk together to Campo del Ghetto and the Jewish Museum. We have time for a leisurely tour of the Ghetto and visits to the Spanish, Canton and Italian Synagogues. After touring, we will take boat taxis to our hotel. Overnight in Venice.

Day 11, Wednesday: Breakfast at the hotel. This morning we enjoy a tour of Saint Mark's Square and a visit to the Basilica. We continue to the Vecchia Murano Glass Factory for a demonstration of the famous glass blowing that is done in Venice. Our afternoon is at leisure. Overnight in Venice.

Day 12, Thursday: Breakfast at the hotel. We drive to Padoua where we visit the synagogue and discuss the history of the synagogue with members of the Jewish Community. We stop at the Scrovengi Chapel where we see some of the best frescos of the Master Giotto. We walk through the Jewish Ghetto and continue to visit the Roman Arena and the University of Padoua Medical School. We return to Venice and enjoy dinner together at our hotel. Overnight in Venice.

Day 13, Friday: Breakfast at the hotel. We depart from Venice en route to Lake Como. We stop to visit Mantoua where we are given an orientation of the synagogue, archives and ghetto. We have time to visit the Ducal Palace on our own before continuing to Lake Como where we stop to relax before checking into our hotel. This evening we enjoy Shabbat services and dinner together at our hotel. Overnight at Lake Como.

Day 14, Saturday: Breakfast at the hotel. The day is spent at leisure. Optional activities will be presented, including crossing the border and visiting Switzerland, or just relax in this beautiful setting. Overnight at Lake Como.

Day 15, Sunday: Breakfast at the hotel. We enjoy a scenic drive around Lake Como before departing for Milan. Upon arrival in Milan, we visit the synagogue and meet with members of the Jewish community. This evening we enjoy a farewell dinner together. Overnight in Milan.

Day 16, Monday: Breakfast at the hotel. This morning we transfer to the airport for our flight back to New York.
