We depart our hotel to watch the ceremonial Changing of the Royal Guard at the gorgeous Tomb of Mohammed V ("Defender of the Jews"). Tonight we enjoy a welcome dinner together. Overnight in Rabat.

Day 3, Monday: Breakfast at our hotel. Our morning tour of Rabat, the White Imperial City, includes the Medina, teeming with life, the Kasbah of Oudayas, the Mosque and Hassan Tower, and the splendid Mohammad V Mausoleum. We will also tour the Ramparts and the Walls of Mechouar that surround the Royal Palace. We drive to the former Roman town of Chellah, where archaeologists have discovered remains of an ancient Jewish community. This afternoon, we visit a synagogue in the Mellah (Moroccan Arabic for "ghetto"). Tonight we enjoy couscous and other delights as part of a sumptuous Moroccan dinner together. Overnight in Rabat.

Day 4, Tuesday: Breakfast at our hotel. We depart for the "Holy City" of Moulay-Idriss, noted for its breathtaking scenery, and to the archaeological ruins of Roman Volubilis, once home to a flourishing Jewish community. We continue to the imperial city of Meknes, enclosed within walls and bastions standing 40 meters deep. Meknes is considered the "Versailles of North Africa" and includes the ancient and modern mellah, location of the tomb of Rabbi David Bousidan. We continue to imperial Fez, one of Morocco's most fascinating cities and once the home of Maimonides. Dinner and overnight in Fez.

Day 5, Wednesday: Breakfast at our hotel. After breakfast, we visit the Medieval Medina, the Medersas (Islamic Religious Universities), Bou Anarja and Attarine, the Karaouine Mosque and the Nejjarine Fountain. After lunch, we visit "The Arabian House" which gathers different craftsmen still working in the old oriental tradition. Overnight in Fez.

Day 6, Thursday: Breakfast at our hotel. Today is spent at leisure, exploring this magic mystical city. Overnight in Fez.

Day 7 - Friday: Breakfast at our hotel. We drive the ancient Bedouin caravan route through the snowcapped Atlas Mountains. We stop at the oasis town of Beni Mellal for lunch, and continue to Marrakech, city of palm trees and gardens at the edge of the Sahara Desert. Jews have lived in Marrakech since the first century. Tonight we celebrate Shabbat dinner together. Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 8, Saturday: Breakfast at our hotel. Optional synagogue services. This afternoon's walking tour takes us into the 900-year-old Medina, with its colorful bazaar and teeming Djemaa El Fna marketplace, with dancers, jugglers, acrobats, story-tellers, snake charmers, dyers, and basket makers! Tonight, meet members of the Marrakech Jewish community, and attend a Moroccan Fantasia including dinner, folklore, music and performers... Enjoy! Overnight in Marrakech.

Day 9, Sunday: Breakfast at our hotel. We wander through the once all-Jewish mellah and visit the 16th-century Saadian Tombs, the ruins of El Badii Palace, the Dar Si Said Palace housing the Moroccan Arts Museum and Yves Saint Laurent's gorgeous Majorelle Gardens - suffused with the fragrance of jasmine and orange blossoms. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Marrakech.

Day 10, Monday: Breakfast at our hotel. We drive to Casablanca, Morocco's cosmopolitan business capital. Originally a Phoenician City, Casablanca is home to the largest Jewish community in the Arab world. This afternoon, we see the fabulous new King Hassan Mosque (world's second largest), Boulevard El Hansali, with its exotic bazaars, Mohammed V Square, the new Medina, Royal Palace, and Anfa Hill, meeting place of Roosevelt and Churchill during World War II. At the synagogue, we meet members of the Casablanca Jewish community at their elegant club. Tonight's gala farewell dinner is a perfect ending to our "Arabian Nights Adventure." Overnight in Casablanca.
